Senior Engine Programmer

Description
Responsibilities
- As a key figure, lead the production pipleline of great contents. Bridge the engines with traditional and new content-creating tools.
- Work with the leaders of the rendering/animation/physic teams. From a comprehensive view point, set workflows to support the preprocessing of manual production and auto-generated resources.
- Maintain and expand engine functions, including memory management, multithreading, auto-construction, network synchronization, file system, etc.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization for patches. Help your team to achieve a steady frame rate.
- Work with the design, art, and audio teams to lay down an efficient workflow.
- Acquire the latest information in the industry. Work with the technical team to develop new technology that improves quality of projects and development efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry. Launched at least 1 game project.
- Solid knowledge in mathematics, algorithms, and architecture. Proficiency in C/C++;
- Familiarity with UE4 architecture. A profound insight into the basics of game engines, such as rendering, memory management, network, multithreading, resource management, file system, etc.
- Collaborate with other teams. Has great team spirit. Understands agile development.
- T-shaped person and a quick learner. Ability to develop on both server and client.
Pluses
- Experience working in foreign-funded enterprises or well-known game companies.
- Experience with rendering system development and Maya/Qt/Python.
- Experience with development and maintenance of other largfe game engines.
- Experience with Houdini development. Deep understanding of the pros and cons of procedural programming.
- Understand the performance limitations of PC, console, and mobile platforms.
- Professional experience with projects on mobile platforms.
