UGC Developer
Description
About the Role
We're looking for a battle-tested UGC developer who has shipped full games on Roblox and/or Fortnite Creative (UEFN). This isn't a support role — you own the entire lifecycle from ideation and prototyping to polish and release. You think like a solo dev: you design the gameplay, write the code, hook up the audio, build the UI, and push it live. If you've already shipped titles that real players have enjoyed on these platforms, we want to talk.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and ship complete game experiences on Roblox and/or UEFN end to end
- Write production quality Lua (Roblox) and/or Verse (UEFN) code for gameplay systems, UI, networking, and monetization
- Build and integrate all game elements including level design, audio, VFX, animations, and UI
- Own game performance, optimization, and platform specific best practices
- Rapidly prototype new ideas and iterate based on player feedback and analytics
- Collaborate with the broader team to align UGC titles with Crater Studios' interconnected game universe
- Stay current with Roblox and UEFN platform updates, APIs, and community trends
Requirements
- Shipped at least one complete, publicly available game on Roblox and/or UEFN
- Strong proficiency in Lua (Roblox Studio) and/or Verse (UEFN)
- Demonstrated ability to handle every aspect of game development: design, code, art integration, audio, UI, and QA
- Deep understanding of Roblox and/or Fortnite Creative platform mechanics, monetization, and player expectations
- Experience with rapid iteration cycles and live game updates
- Portfolio or links to shipped titles with meaningful player engagement
